Countdown to Rome: January 1, 2021!
The BHS Marching Band and Color Guard have been invited to participate in the 2021 Rome New Year’s Day Parade on January 1, 2021!
They will have the privilege of representing the school, New York State and the U.S. in this world-famous event as they march through Rome, Italy and into St. Peter's Square where over 100,000 spectators from across the globe will be gathered to receive the Pope’s New Year’s Day blessing.
The parade will commence from Castel Sant' Angelo and proceed along the Grand Via Della Conciliazione and culminate in St. Peter's Square where they will have an opportunity of a stand-still performance both before and after the Pope's blessing.
In addition to the parade, participants will have the opportunity to explore much of the history that Italy has to offer. During their week-long trip, participants will be visiting Florence, Pisa, Rome and Pompeii - visiting museums, monuments and historic sites along the way.
The Brewster Performing Arts Boosters Club started this fundraising campaign to help defray the costs of the trip for all the students.
